Job Description
Are you looking for an exciting job for the long term that combines Technical Maintenance, Social Interaction and Administrative Management? Do you want to work with Innovative Environmental Techniques in a brand new residential context? Are you motivated and handy? As Operator Environmental Techniques you will join a small team (4 employees) and you will be responsible for the general follow-up of the multiple environmental techniques of DuCoop in The New Docs (Ghent region). The project has already won numerous awards and prizes for its pioneering innovative character in the field of local water treatment and reuse of domestic wastewater, waste heat recovery in a district heating network, electrical installations including PV, battery storage and renewable energy. At DuCoop you are responsible for the correct functioning of our sustainable techniques. You monitor, operate and maintain the various installations. In concrete terms, your work consists of monitoring preventive and curative maintenance, online follow-up and visual inspection rounds, incident reporting, interaction with external specialized maintenance companies, management of the stock of maintenance materials & spare parts, order and cleanliness in the technical rooms, budget monitoring and interaction with our end users. In addition, you will participate in the on-call service and act in the event of malfunctions in the technical installations. You also work with the team on optimizing the operation of the systems and reporting the results (environmental impact and financial). Profile= • You have a graduate degree, professional bachelor's degree or equivalent through experience in electromechanics, process technology or biochemistry. • Experience with water treatment and/or energy systems is a plus. • You are handy and have experience with monitoring industrial systems: pumps, valves, analyzers, membranes, PLCs, SCADA, …. You understand how these work, you can perform the correct repair (or have it carried out). • You like to roll up your sleeves, can set priorities independently and are a good organizer. • You enjoy dealing with customers and are solution-oriented. Job-related competences = • Assembly of parts or pieces of industrial or exploitation equipment according to machine instructions, documentation, … • Adjust industrial or exploitation equipment and check operation • Connect a computer to the equipment and solve problems with registered programs • Determine the location of industrial or operational equipment on a site • Provide technical assistance to a maintenance crew or a production or operations team • Estimate costs and repair times and make a cost estimate for the intervention • Locate a fault in the installation and determine technical solutions and repair conditions • Organize, plan and follow up of preventive or corrective maintenance works • Register the follow-up data of interventions and pass the information on to the service concerned • Modify or adapt the equipment according to legal or production requirements (production speed, new products, …) • Updating the technology che documentation of machines or installations (manufacturer's guidelines, history of defects, legislation, …) • Identify, repair or replace the components of defective systems (gear sets, ball bearings, hydraulic distributors, parts of controlled processes, …) • Explain the technical operation to customers or users and assist them during the commissioning of the installation • Follow up, analyze and identify anomalies in the maintenance data of a workshop or a service (costs, unexpected expenses, inventory of spare parts, …) • Work on: Pumps • Monitoring the work of suppliers or service providers What we offer you: • You will receive the necessary start-up guidance and the opportunity to follow further training where necessary. • You will receive a full-time contract of indefinite duration (start according to availability) with a competitive salary and basic fringe benefits.
